It can be recalled that on October 10, 2019 a top-ranking officer of Guerilla Front 73 of the NPA namely Nicano Claro Pason who has Seven Warrants of Arrest and three others were arrested in a checkpoint in Maitum, Sarangani Province.

For the whole year, there are a total of 101 returnees, 24 arrested and 2 died in joint operations of the PNP and AFP and there are 67 firearms and 15 explosives (8 grenades, 4 landlmines and 3 IEDs) recovered.

“This accomplishment just shows that we are serious in our counter terrorism campaign. With this, I am glad that former rebels decided to make the right decision and that we could never have resorted to violence and loose lives unnecessarily along the way. Now, they will enjoy the privilege given by the government through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP) and other benefits. They will learn first-hand that the government lives to serve the people – the reality which is far from the deceitful accusations the terrorist NPA used to provoke them towards a meaningless war.” RD CORPUS said.
