1 DEAD; COP INJURED ON A DRUG BUST OPERATION BY LEBAK MPS
Police Regional Office 12 – Cop Wounded, drug suspect Neutralized on a Buy-bust operation at Lebak Sultan Kudarat.
On March 04, 2020, at about 07:30 AM, joint elements of LEBAK MPS, SKPDEU, SKPMFC, and PDEA conducted Buy Bust Operation against Johari Tabunaway Kadil a resident of Brgy. Poblacion 3, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat.
The operating team transacted with the suspect at barangay Road Purok Apitong 2, Brgy. Poblacion 3, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat, during the conduct of law enforcement operation subject person noticed that he is transacting to a law enforcer wherein he drew and fired his firearm towards the operating troops that resulted to the wounding of PCMS Arden Lanasa who incurred gunshot wound on his lower right leg which prompted the troops to retaliate and eventually leads to the neutralization of the suspect.
Wounded personnel was rushed to Sultan Kudarat District Hospital and in stable condition, while the suspect was rushed to Lebak Family Doctor’s Hospital for medication but declared DOA by the attending physician.
During the transaction, the poseur buyer bought one (1) piece small size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected as shabu.
Recovered from the crime scene were one (1) unit of cal. 45 chamber loaded inserted with one (1) steel magazine of cal. 45 loaded with four (4) rounds of ammunition, (4) pcs. empty shell of cal. 9mm, two (2) pcs. slug of cal. 9mm, one (1) pc. live ammunition of cal. 9mm, one (1) pc. empty shell of cal. 45, one (1) pc. of sling bag color black containing one (1) unit of steel magazine of cal. 45 loaded with five (5) rounds of ammunition of cal. 45, and one (1) pc. five hundred peso bill (Php. 500.00) buy-bust money.
Further, recovered from the suspect’s possession were: eight (8) pcs. small size heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected as shabu . Said recovered pieces of evidence will be turn-over to Crime Laboratory for forensic and chemistry examinations and proper disposition.
