Police Regional Office 12 – A joint ceremony for 250 successful candidates for Patrolman/Patrolwoman who gone through rigorous selection and screening process by the PRO 12 Recruitment and Selection Board took their oath and 179 members of MANDILAAB class recognized on July 1, 2020, at RTC 12 Parade Ground, Brgy Apopong, General Santos City.

In observance of the safety and health standard protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), the oath-taking ceremony was conducted simultaneously with the ceremonies at PNP Headquarters in Camp Crame and Police Regional Offices nationwide wherein PGEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO F GAMBOA, Chief, PNP delivered his message via Zoom with the presence of PRO-12 Regional Directors.

The simultaneous joint oath-taking ceremony commenced has a total of more than Four Thousand recruits who had successfully pass the vetting process all over the country and for the first time, the traditional reception rites after the ceremony was removed.

PNP Chief, PGEN ARCHIE FRANCISCO F GAMBOA, spearheaded the oath-taking ceremony of the said recruits leaving them some inspirational message to take with them inside the training school.

PGEN GAMBOA said that “a law enforcer is a problem solvers we must perform our duty despite the pressure surrounding us”.

The Chief PNP also reminded that entering in the PNP organization is inheriting all the danger and adversities but even in the face of the greatest challenges and danger, they must remain loyal to the organization and to the Philippine Constitution.

It can be recalled that two days prior to their entry in the training school on June 29, 2020, the said recruits were issued the first tranche of their initial clothing allowance. The PNP-PRO 12 distributed to recruits 500 Field Service Uniform; 250 pairs of combat boots; 250 Blue belts with buckle; 250 black belts with buckle; 250 PNP Field Cap; 500 Olive Drab Green T-shirt; 500 pcs white V-neck T-shirt; and 250 PNP grab bag.

During the ceremony, the recruits received their ATM cards turned-over by the Landbank of the Philippines in the person of Ms. Ma. Eleonor Corpuz these marks as another milestone for the PRO 12 Recruitment process.

RD PRO 12 further commended the efficient management of the Regional Screening Committee headed by PBGEN BERNARD C TAMBAOAN who received Medalya ng Kasanayan, while the members of the screening committee in the person of Mr. Jimmy C Andang, RPOC 12 representative and Mr. Arturo M Caballero, NAPOLCOM representative, received a plaque of appreciation for the said accomplishment.

After the Oath-Taking Ceremony, PBGEN MICHAEL JOHN F DUBRIA, RD, PRO-12, administered the Recognition Rites of PSBRC RTC 12 CL 2020-01 BATCH MANDILAAB which a ceremonial opening of collar and rolling of sleeves was done as a sign that they already finish their Military stakes and rattle phase training.

During the program, the class shows off their skills in Company drill, Civil Disturbance Management (CDM), and squad drill that is composed of female trainees.

Being recognized means that the police trainees who already undergone 5 months of training will now be able to avail of some privileges they have been denied for some time.

PBGEN DUBRIA stated on his message to the recognized batch that they must embrace the sworn duties and responsibilities from the time they took the pledge to be a member of the PNP without counting the cost and must evade all forms of corruption and maintain the discipline they have learned from the training school.

The Regional Director also lauded the Regional Trading Director and the training staff for imparting their knowledge and skills, for they have been you have been molded well a good students and without a doubt to become good officers.

Lastly RD said that they must not settle for less they can change the packaging of themselves they can always go always outside the box and strive for more and can strive for being an officer of the organization.
