𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟔 𝐊𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐯𝐨𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐑𝐃 𝐏𝐑𝐎 𝟏𝟐

Police Regional Office 12 – PBGEN ALEXANDER C TAGUM, Regional Director, Police Regional Office 12 personally paid a heartwarming visit and gave recognition to PSMS Rick Magsipoc Untalan (Ret.), a police survivor during the 2016 Kidapawan protests, at his residence in Mlang, North Cotabato on November 25, 2021.PSMS Untalan was injured in the rally dispersal of more or less 4,000 protesters barricading the national highway in Kidapawan City back in April 1, 2016 when PBGEN TAGUM was then a Provincial Director of Cotabato Provincial Police Office. Since the said incident, PSMS Untalan was not able to fully recover and had learned to manage his daily routine with a wheelchair.After five years since the incident, PBGEN TAGUM went back to Mlang, North Cotabato to give recognition to the injured former policeman as a way of showing compassion and respect to the dignity of his men. He was accompanied by the Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PCOL ROLANDO E DESTURA; Force Commander, Regional Mobile Force Battalion, PCOL JEMUEL F SIASON; Chief Regional Public Information Office, PLTCOL MA JOYCE R BIRREY; and other key officers.The regional director accorded PSMS Untalan with PNP Heroism Medal or Medalya ng Kadakilaan for his bravery and act of heroism displayed during the said rally which he showed his unselfish dedication not only in PRO 12 but in the entire PNP.PBGEN TAGUM also distributed groceries, noche buena packages, apparels, and financial assistance to boost the morale of the injured policeman.
