Two (2) Wounded Cops Awarded with Medalya Ng Sugatang Magiting

PRO12, General Santos City- Police Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) Regional Director Police Chief Superintendent Eliseo Tam Rasco visited and awarded the two (2) wounded Police Officers in North Cotabato today.

On his visit at a hospital where one of the wounded cops is still undergoing medical treatment, PCSupt Rasco pinned the Medalya Ng Sugatang Magiting (PNP Wounded Personnel Medal) on the wounded cop and handed over financial assistance in recognition of his bravery in risking his life while performing his duty.

Awarded cop was Police Officer 2 Jogie Damali Tamay, a member of Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 12 (RPDEU 12). PO2 Tamay was wounded during the serving of Warrant of Arrest against a suspect charged for Carnapping with Homicide wherein the suspect resisted arrest and shot him that prompted the operating team to retaliate wounding the suspect that caused the latter’s death.

Meanwhile, PCSupt Rasco presented the Medalya Ng Sugatang Magiting to PO2 Quicoy at a rite held at Cotabato Provincial Police Office covered court in Amas, Kidapawan City today. The awarded cop also received financial assistance.

PO2 Joiue C Quicoy, a member of Cotabato Provincial Mobile Force Company (CPMFC), recently discharged from a hospital after he fully recovered from the wound he sustained during a joint implementation of Search Warrant against a suspect for violation of RA 10591 that resulted to the death of the suspect who engaged in a shootout with the operating team.

The awarded cops have shown the courage and dedication to their sworn duty which is worthy of emulation as police officers from the rest of men and women in uniform of PRO 12. (PO1 Allan C Navarro-RPIO12 PNCO)
